Service Description

This class will take roughly 8 hrs. In this course, we work on making a pair of custom fit SELVEDGE jeans to your exact body measurements. If you haven't taken a class for jean making with us or elsewhere, have no fear we will cover through the basics to the expert knowledge needed to understand this process. Materials will be provided, notions like buttons, thread and zippers. As well as sewing machines, scissors and patterns. When purchasing this class, you will provide your inseam and waist measurements so we can have your pattern ready for you. During the class, we will take more in-depth measurements to adjust the standard sized pattern we've provided. A quick stroll through the histories of denim, jeans, and their impacts on not only American style, but worldwide cultural impacts. Then we lean into the sewing basics from pre production on through the final hemming and inspection. After the theory portions are complete, we will get started on cutting out our patterns and assembly! At the conclusion of the class, you have now made a wonderful pair of raw denim jeans for you to take home and be the envy of your friends and family. I mean, who else do you know that can say they've made the jeans they're wearing?
